Set of two volumes with brown marbled half-basane corner bindings. Smooth cold tiled spine with gold threads. Spine with two pieces of morocco: one orange with the title in gilt, the other grey with the author's name, the tomaison and the subtitle in gilt. Golden friezes on the head and tail. Gold fillets and cold lace along the cardboard. Hooks and rubbing on the bindings. Undetached pages. Stamped bookplate on the title page. All in good condition.
Volume 2: bottom left corner of page 117 torn.
Third edition, revised, corrected and considerably expanded.
