Set of about 85 ORIGINAL FASHION DRAWINGS FROM THE FALLING YEARS (30 x 18cm approx.), in graphite and India ink, the vast majority enhanced with watercolor, all very neat.
These drawings, most of them monogrammed "F.H." (or "A. H."), are models from the Becker et Fils fashion house then established on rue des Jeûneurs (wet stamp on the back of some of them) and active in Paris since the 1900s.
Most of the outfits are accompanied by an additional pencil sketch of the back of the garment or an important detail, and a few handwritten lines of precise description. Two of the drawings also have fabric samples. On each collection are specified the season and the name of the first of workshop probably responsible for the realization of the models.
Remarkable set of afternoon dresses, blouses, evening coats and other robes, with raised or lowered waist, orientalist patterns and shortened skirts, typical of the Roaring Twenties.
Nice condition.
