Brunet. half vellum corner braid binding, calligraphy title on the spine in 2 colours (CARAYON binding), gold head, uncut. Cover and second dish preserved. Very clean interior. Illustrated with letters, bands and culs-de-lampe. The 14 illustrations of J. GARNIER were engraved with etching by Champollion. Head edition at 220 copies, this one n° 50 on Whatman with a double proof of the prints, this book contains the first written version of "La Belle et la Bête" and the "Chat Botté".
