ORIGINAL EDITION, dated June 1836, reprinted without illustrations in 1846. Bayonne mainly but also Biarritz and Saint Jean de Luz. At the end of the volume, there is an important nomenclature of the flora, fish and birds of the surroundings (the latter is an extract from a catalogue published in February 1836 in Bordeaux) by Ulysse DARRACQ. Detail of the plates: View of Bayonne - View of Bayonne Cathedral - View of the Gate of Spain - View of the English Cemetery - View of the Old Port in Biarritz - View of the spa in Cambo. Ducéré says: "Weak and even nil, for everything that concerns ancient and modern history until 1789, he is curious for the contemporary era until 1836. There are a few paintings of morals that are always cited. It should be noted in this regard that the author has indeed "botched" the ancient history in 125 pages to quickly devote himself to the contemporary history that interests him and that takes the lion's share with more than 400 pages.

Very good condition.
