Bound in half red morocco. Spine with four ornamented nerves, with title and gilt fillets. Gilt garlands and double fillets in cold framing on the boards. First board with school iron. Spines, nerves and headpieces rubbed. All edges speckled. Frontispiece in black and white. Paper very slightly browned. Good condition of the contents decorated with black and white head and tailpieces.

The original edition of this work was published in 1840, under the title "De la Loire aux Pyrénées". This novel is written in the form of 16 letters, dated from June 25 to September 24, 1829, making it possible to follow each stage of this journey made in the 19th century in the beautiful Pyrenees region.
