Upper part of the flyleaf missing. Handwriting on the false title page and its reverse. Handwritten bookplate or label on the title page. Slightly browned paper. King's approval and privilege at the end of the work.
The Wars of Religion that have shaken the whole of France have not only caused bloodshed, as this small bound copy shows. Even years after their memory lingered, hence the need to put it down on paper, to explain this chaotic period that affected all the way to Béarn.
