Bound in half brown basane. Smooth spine with gilt fillets and title, also including a black morocco piece with gilt subtitle. Joints tired or even cracked. Rubbing on the binding. All edges speckled. Handwritten on several pages including the title page. Fine spotting and foxing on the pages. Handwritten letter attached to page 73, the latter to be handled with care following a tear.
A venerable little book that offered the 19th century reader pleasant travel itineraries. A tourist guide before its time, allowing, among other things, to linger on the beauties of the South-West of France in the past.
Good condition of contents.
