Set of two volumes bound in black half-chagrin from the period. Spine with five nerves, with gilt fleurons, title and author's name gilt on red morocco piece. Spines, nerves and spine ends rubbed. Spotted edges at the top. Covers very well preserved. Pages not soiled. Papers slightly browned but in very good condition.

An impressive work that brings together in one volume two volumes of a series dealing with the progress of Napoleon's campaign in Spain. The Empire having invaded Spain, the defeated Spanish people refused to submit, leading to a real resistance taking the form of guerrilla tactics. This momentarily stopped the glorious French armies.

Nice condition of the contents.
