Extracts from the manuscripts of François-Frédéric Billon by his great-nephew A. Lombard-Dumas.
Beautiful bound copy of this compilation of memories bequeathed by a former velite. What was the corps of velites? They were young soldiers who belonged to a school created by Bonaparte in the Consuls' Guard, then in the Imperial Guard in 1805, to train future officers. A precious testimony therefore, encompassing the history of our country with that of our armies.
Very good condition.
