In a lined slipcase. Bound in full dark blue morocco. Spine with finely decorated nerves. Framing of dishes, frieze of straight and curved fillets with dotted lines decorated with small gilt fleurons, red pastilles and mosaic ovals in lavaliere morocco. Polylobed pattern with profile of woman mosaic in white morocco in imitation of cameos in the center. Lining and endpapers of royal blue moire. Gilded head. Cover and spine preserved. Binding signed F. MICHON.
Edition illustrated with 29 color compositions by André-Edouard MARTY, including one on the cover, one on the title, one full page and 26 in the text. There are also 71 decorative vignettes, including one on the back cover, 33 at the head of poems and 37 caps.
LIMITED EDITION to 250 numbered copies. This one is one of the 40 first copies on Japon nacré containing in addition to the definitive state of the illustrations, a suite in black and a suite in colors.
