This edition is an abridged version of the original edition published in 1707. The novel recounts the peregrinations of a young student and the imp he releases from his bottle. As a reward for this liberation, the Devil, called Asmodeus, leads the student to the rooftops of Madrid and teaches him to decipher the behaviour of the Madrid people, to enter prisons or madhouses and even tombs or dreams.
Good condition.
