Full green morocco binding. First course and spine covered with sets of golden fillets and silver scrolls with a small mosaic rat in the center of the course. Smooth spine. Top edge gilt. Original paper covers and spine bound in. Not trimmed. Binding signed Marius MAGNIN. Very fresh interior. All copies of Volume 1 of a rat's memoirs contain only 34 etchings (36 announced (2 per chapter), composed and engraved by T. POLLAT (spelled Polat on Ferdinand's Comments). Volume 2 is composed of 38 etchings, a frontispiece and an off-text.
LIMITED DRAWING of numbered copies. This one is one of the 300 copies on Vergé Bouffant de Grosvenor. Our copy is enriched with an autograph signed by the author on fake title of volume 2.
