Under case decorated on the first plate with a plate enamelled by Hermine DAVID signed A. DEVAUCHELLE. With the exception of the 43 cul-de-lampe, Hermine David's illustrations are different.
SINGLE SET of the two editions published by Creuzevault in July and November 1943
The July edition includes 60 compositions, 21 of which are in colour, here hand-watercoloured. One of the 50 copies on ancient Japan including a suite on China and an ORIGINAL CROQUIS, reproduced in illustration on p.72.[nbsp
]The November edition is decorated with 53 black drypoints. LIMITED DRAW to 450 copies on Arches, this one n°252. The copy is enriched with 11 ORIGINAL DRAWINGS, 6 of which are coloured, some of which are not included in the illustration, as well as a suite on fine watercolour vellum by hand .
Unique meeting of works by Hermine David, including the enamel of Limoges placed on the flat of the case and 12 ORIGINAL DRAWINGS.
