Upper dish decorated with a serrated framing net, a silver diamond-shaped net and a red morocco title piece in its centre. Golden net on the guards. Top edge gilt. Original paper covers and spine bound in. Not trimmed. Binding signed RANDEYNES et Fils. Clean and fresh interior. 16 beautiful illustrations by LABOUREUR, including 8 text hirs plates. Rubbed upper jaw and upper cap.
LIMITED DRAWING. This one is one of the 442 numbered copies on Arches vellum. Enriched with a beautiful handwritten letter from the author on a page with a false title: "For Mr. and Mrs. Leo Lotnaream, happy to know that my poor Silbermann has taken refuge in their home, where the author has been so amicably treated, in sympathy and respectful tribute".
