Panel decorated with a repeating decoration drawn by fleurons arranged on a diamond paving, inner frame of two double gilded fillets. Gilded edges on witnesses. Binding signed CONIL-SEPTIER.
Sixth edition (original edition published in 1837), illustrated with 425 drawings by Gustave DORÉ engraved on wood in the text or on a full page.
LIMITED DRAWING. This one of the 25 EXEMPLARES ON CHINA, whose engravings have the advantage of having been printed on the original woods, which give the illustrations an incomparable relief and velvety.
