FIRST EDITION. Collection of 19 poems, most of which were inspired by Paul Verlaine (1844-1896) by Philomène Boudin, one of his stormy mistresses during the years of poverty. Designed in the summer of 1891, the author returned several times until its publication in May 1893.
He continues in the tone of the Songs for her," but, he says, higher and nobler if I dare.... nbsp]", borrowing, in the course of some verse pieces, the model of the coat of arms inherited from the poetic tradition of the 16th century.
