Bound in full cypress green morocco. Spine with four sautéed nerves underlined by cold threads extending on the boards, large branch of lily mosaic on the first board in havana and orange morocco, inner frame in the same morocco decorated with stylized gilt flowers, lining and endpapers in silk with golden highlights, double grades of marbled paper. All edges gilt. Illustrated covers preserved. Binding signed and dated by Charles MEUNIER, 1906. A small restoration in the margin of one of the illustrations of the suite.
Very beautiful and captivating illustrations in the Art Nouveau style by Carloz SCHWABE, comprising 34 colour compositions including 1st cover, frontispiece, 6 faux-titles, and 12 full-page illustrations.
LIMITED EDITION to 170 numbered deluxe copies (not 165 as announced). One of the 50 copies on paper of the imperial manufactures of Japan including, bound in fine, a suite in black on China paper of all the illustrations. Subscription leaflet illustrated with two leaves bound in fine.
