Enriched with a signed autograph letter from the author "to Marguerite Antelme, from sphinx to sphinx and Amitié. H. Michaux", on the title page. From 1940, Marguerite Antelme, the future Marguerite Duras, worked for the "Publishing Paper Commission" under Otto Abetz, the cultural commissioner of the Third Reich, in charge of enforcing censorship. Her task was to allocate paper to publishing houses, which enabled her to meet many publishers such as "Le Robs". Gradually, she began to cunningly deal with the Propagandastaffel, issuing paper to writers she liked, including Henri Michaux, whom she considered "the greatest French poet".
Good condition.
