On the one hand, our contemporary Cidrolin, a sleeping hero, living on a barge and philosophising about everyday life. On the other hand, the Duke of Auge, knight of ancient times and great horseman of times, reappears every 175 years. One reappears over the course of the chapters when the other falls asleep...

Les Fleurs Bleues is in fact based on a Chinese apologue: "Tchouang-tseu dreams that he is a butterfly, but isn't it the butterfly that dreams that he is Tchouang-tseu? »

Nice copy.
