FIRST EDITION. A map of the imaginary city of Bleston-on-Slee, inspired by Manchester, is folded at the end of the volume. One of 40 numbered copies on B.F.K., the only large paper, with an original color etching by Roberto Matta on the frontispiece, signed and justified by the artist in pencil. Autograph correction by the author on p. 118.
Major text of the Nouveau Roman, L'Emploi du temps, winner of the Fénéon prize, is also one of the best productions of this literary movement.
