A book written by the politician Jean-Louis Debré, interested in a rather unknown part of history: 19th century lawyers. Of course, it must be admitted that they did not enjoy a very flattering image in society, certainly because of their close ties to the law and power. Nevertheless, it was these professionals of the bar and of pleading that were able to defend many causes, even if it meant upsetting the ruling elites.

Very good condition.
