Half-printed binding with grey-green corners. Spine with five raised bands with ornate boxes, gilt fillets, gilt title and author's note, including brown and gilt mosaic fleurons. Gilt fillets on covers. Bits, caps, nerves and corners rubbed. Golden headband. Ex-libris in the form of a label on the back plate. Cream cover and back very well preserved. Book with bookmark in multicoloured fabric. Unstuck pages. Coloured frontispiece under snake. Excellent condition of the contents with black and white lettering, bands, and black and white culs-de-lampe.

Nice first edition bound of the work of Rémy de Gourmont. This one compiles a whole correspondence established at the beginning of the 20th century, spread over five years. In love transi, the author mottoes by letters interposed with his correspondent on various subjects such as love, mysticism or the philosopher.
