Claude Vigée, born Claude Strauss on January 3, 1921 in Bischwiller is a French poet.
In 1960, he moved to Israel where he held the position of professor of French and comparative literature at the University of Jerusalem until his retirement in 1984. Poet, translator, essayist, Claude Vigée has been composing works of great spirituality and generosity for 50 years. His works have been awarded numerous French and foreign literary prizes. He died on October 02, 2020, at the age of 99.
