In a lined slipcase and half morocco folder with flaps (wear on the spine of the folder). Full navy blue morocco binding. First plate illustrated with a large mosaic decoration, incised and tinted taking up the engraving on page 41, of a boat in full storm. Spine with nerves. Inner frame of the same morocco, decorated in the tail with the continuity of the decoration of the first plate. Navy blue silk lining and endpapers, double marbled paper endpapers. All edges gilt. Illustrated covers and spine preserved. Binding signed Charles LANOE. Illustrated with 118 lithographs including a frontispiece, and 20 full page lithographs by Charles FOUQUERAY.
LIMITED EDITION of 150 numbered copies. One of the 15 copies placed in the trade, with handwritten mention: "Printed for Mr. Fricotelle", with his ex-libris on the letterhead.
Enriched with 15 ORIGINAL AQUARELLES interleaved and signed by Charles FOUQUERAY of which 12 are placed under window folios and 3 are full page. Enriched also with a handwritten letter signed by the illustrator mounted on tab in-fine and a dated and signed mailing from the author.
