In a lined slipcase and half salmon morocco folder with small overlaps. Bound in full dark salmon morocco. The boards are entirely decorated with a palladium, cold and gilt fillet decoration covering polychrome mosaic motifs, the gilt fillet running along the smooth spine. Beige calf lining and endpapers, double endpapers. All edges gilt. Cover illustrated in colour preserved. Binding signed Paul BONET [Desmules, bookbinder, and Jeanne, gilder, 1935].
Edition illustrated by Sylvain SAUVAGE with 25 beautiful original copper engravings, printed in colours (first cover, frontispiece, title vignette, 18 vignettes and 4 full page).
LIMITED EDITION OF 271 NUMBERED COPIES, one of 180 copies on Arches laid paper.
