FIRST EDITION. One of the 800 numbered copies reserved for Friends of the Original Edition.
Enriched with an autograph signed by the author to Pierre Mac Orlan, these people from Cromedeyre, the last survivors of a proud race that claims to have once occupied the entire Cévennes country, lead a patriarchal existence in their high perched village jealously hidden from the inhabitants of the valley, whom they call with contempt "the people below".And, to isolate themselves even more, the Ancients of Cromedeyre decided to have their own church and, inconceivable claim, a priest of their own.
Very good condition.
