Half-marbled tobacco binding. Spine with false nerves decorated with gold dotted lines and 2 small mosaic coral pieces. Top edge gilt. Blankets and spines kept. Binding signed Creuzevault. With 25 original etchings by Léon Lebègue, including 2 on the cover and 23 outside the text discreetly enhanced with watercolour, then 53 blue-coloured bistre vignettes in the text. The composition of the first cover is nicely enhanced with watercolour and gold.
Limited edition to 512 numbered copies. This reserved for the publisher Albert Messein (justified and signed by F. Ferroud in ink) and TIRE SUR JAPON IMPERIAL, it contains an additional statement of the 25 etchings in covers and out of text before the letter, with remarks, as well as a separate suite of the 53 thumbnails in bistre on china, bound in fine .
